Scheduled Golf Tours 2013-14

Playing Around New Zealand offers a program of scheduled golf tours. The scheduled events are designed for individuals, couples and small groups of friends who wish to join a golf tour and we welcome golfers of all abilities. We also welcome non-golfing partners and supply a customised sightseeing and activity program during the tours. Group members will stay in genuine four and five star rated hotels and resorts. Each property has been carefully selected for its style, service and location.

Tour Details

Best of the North Island - November 2013 - 11 Days

We welcome you to join our 11 day tour of the North Island where you will play some of the best golf courses in New Zealand. Beginning in Auckland we will visit the Bay of Islands, Rotorua, Taupo and finally Hawke's Bay. There are 5 rounds of scheduled golf - Gulf Harbour, Kauri Cliffs, Wairakei, Kinloch and Cape Kidnappers. The tour will conclude with dinner at a Hawke's Bay winery. Guests will have the opportunity to experience the "must do" sights and non golfing activities in each region. Alternatively, additional rounds of golf will be available every day! This trip will have a maximum of 16 guests.

Golfers who enjoy seaside golf will love this tour! Beginning and ending in Auckland this tour travels north to the Bay of Islands visiting four great coastal courses including Kauri Cliffs. The Northland region is stunningly beautiful and  with a sub tropical climate guests can take advantage of the beach and water activities.

Best of the North Island - March 2014 - 11 Days

The Best of the North Island scheduled tour running over 11 days in March is the final chance to experience the courses at Kauri Cliffs and Cape Kidnappers during our 2013/14 series. This tour follows the same itinerary as the November trip except that the group will play golf at Kinloch as well as Wairakei in Taupo.

Queenstown - Stay and Play Series (Hosted)

We are running a series of scheduled golf trips in Queenstown. This 8 day package begins on various dates between November and March and will have a maximum of 24 participants. It is perfect for individuals, couples and small groups who would like to join a larger group. The package includes the services of a Tour Manager, airport and golf transfers, a carvery dinner at Walter Peak on the first night and competitions with prizes. The Crowne Plaza Hotel will provide the centrally located accommodation and golf is scheduled at Kelvin Heights, Millbrook as well as two rounds at Jacks Point. There is also the option of additional rounds of golf on the leisure days.
